The how to combine multiple mp3 files into one audacity is a tutorial that will teach you how to combine multiple MP3 files into one.

Do you wish to merge many audio recordings into a single cohesive file? To combine the tracks, you may use either proprietary audio editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro or Audition, or any internet service or app.

You may utilize freeware like Audacity if you don’t have access to a proprietary software and don’t want to submit your audio recordings to any internet site due to privacy concerns. It’s ideal for audio editing and mixing on a basic level.

Audacity is a free, open source audio editing program that runs on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. Its creators published it under the GNU General Public License, which enables you to run, redistribute, and change it.

After you’ve completed the installation, open Audacity and follow the instructions outlined below.

Step 1

The first step is to open Audacity and import the files that you wish to mix. Click File > Import and choose Audio (Ctrl+ Shift + I) to import the files.

Navigate to the folder containing the audio files in the Import dialog. By hitting and holding the Shift key while clicking on the files, you may pick several files at once.

After you’ve selected all of your files, click Open.

Step 2

Audacity displays the files in waveform mode, with a distinct control panel for each track. There are two waveforms, one for each track, with the right channel waveform at the top and the left channel waveform at the bottom.

Step 3

You may wish to delete the quiet portions at the conclusion of each track before merging the files so that they do not show in the combined file. If you don’t wish to delete the quiet portions, go on to the next step.

Zoom inside the waveform box using the Ctrl + 1 shortcut key to trim the quiet portions. To zoom out, press Ctrl + 3 on your keyboard.

At least four times, or until you can see the quiet portions of the waveforms in detail, use the Ctrl + 1 shortcut. Using the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the Audacity window, scroll to the end of a track’s waveform.

The track may take a few seconds to render in Audacity. Finally, it would show a single merged track with its waveform. This is the file that contains all of your merged tracks.

Step 6

Now you may save your track as a combined audio file. Before saving, click the Play button in the toolbar to hear the final render. Before playing, lower the system volume since Audacity will utilize the default system volume.

to keep the song alive Go to File > Export > MP3 Export. Before saving, make sure the track is stopped by clicking the Stop button, since the Export option is unavailable while the music is playing.

Select a location and a file name in the Export Audio dialog box.

Format Options are located at the bottom of the Export Audio Dialog. Preset is the Bit Rate Mode to use. The Quality is set to Standard (170-210 kbps) by default; if you want a high-quality audio file, adjust it to Insane (320 kbps). Audacity defaults to Joint Stereo for Channel Mode, but you may switch to Stereo if you wish to preserve the left and right audio channels individually.

Changing it to Stereo, on the other hand, will have no effect on the audio quality provided both channels in the original audio file contain the identical audio data. If the data in both channels of your original audio files is comparable, you should use Joint Stereo. Changing the Quality to Insane and selecting Stereo or independent audio channels will also increase the file size.

Finally, save the merged audio file by clicking Save.

Audacity would display the Edit Meta Tags popup before saving the file. You may modify or keep default settings for meta data such Artist Name, Title, and Genre.
