All of the new year’s craziness and vacations are past, and many of those returning to work these days will undoubtedly have some video meetings scheduled.
Since the dawn of the hybrid work age, video meetings have been an integral aspect of how businesses operate.
For whatever reason, some individuals feel uncomfortable seeing their faces on screens or being seen by coworkers for extended periods of time.
And, since we all know how stressful meetings can be, Microsoft has devised a new method for Teams users to make them a bit less so.
If you don’t want to see yourself, you can conceal your feed.
For the time being, we’ll concentrate on people who take part in video calls but dislike seeing themselves on the screen for long periods of time.
This new function is being developed for them by the Redmond tech business, in order to make everyone more comfortable.
That’s why, in the near future, Microsoft Teams will enable video conference participants to conceal their personal video stream while keeping their camera on, allowing everyone else on the call to view them.
An indication in the shape of a clipped portion of your own video picture will ensure that you never forget your video is on and that you avoid any unfavorable situations.
On the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, that’s pretty much all Redmond authorities had to say about the situation.
And it’s fantastic that they’ve included this failsafe, since you don’t want all of your coworkers to see stuff that shouldn’t be in a Teams meeting.
Work in a more casual environment.
Microsoft claims that concealing your video stream during Teams conversations will enable participants to relax while still satisfying the need to have their camera on, and that this would be done in a non-disruptive manner.
If you ask anybody, this is a welcome feature, since we all have good days and bad days, and sometimes you simply want to perform your work without being noticed.
This capability isn’t accessible right now, so don’t spend your time looking for it during a meeting.
This month, the ability to disable your video stream during Teams meetings will begin rolling out, with all users having it by mid-March.
Don’t forget that beginning in March 2022, the online version of Teams will feature system audio sharing.
In addition, if you’re using Teams on Windows 11 and want to enable the dark mode option, we can assist you.
